Kisses, 'A Groove'
Info: L.A. duo Kisses (Jesse Kivel & Zinzi Edmundson) have released a new track, 'A Groove', from their forthcoming album Rest in Paradise, which will be out in October this year. As the track title suggests we're served plenty of groove, funky bass and an unabashed 1970's disco extravaganza. Earlier Kisses tracks such as 2013's 'Huddle' had a more 80's synth-pop thing going on, quite similar to Simple Minds, Once Upon a Time era so 'Kisses' may shed a small bit of light to what's coming on the new album. The track indulges the listener and is generous in sharing it's feel-good vibes around and was recorded with all live instrumentation by Midnight Magic (Hercules & Love affair), definitely enough for me to keep an eye out for the full release in a few months time.
