Best of July: Aphex Twin, Roisin Murphy, Michael Kiwanuka, BADBADNOTGOOD, Shura

Aphex Twin Cirklon3 Cheetah EP

Info: Five of the best tracks from four of the latest albums (and EP) to be released in the last week or so are below. This week we have 'Cirklon3' from Aphex Twin's newly released EP, Cheetah, 'Ten Miles High' from Róisín Murphy's second album in two years, Take Her Up to Monto. There's also a bloody delicious live performance by Michael Kiwanuka of his track 'Cold Little Heart' from sophomore album Love & Hate which will restore your faith in contemporary music, if it was on the wane!

In addition I have one of my favourite acts of the last 5 years, jazz fusion maestros BADBADNOTGOOD's 'Confessions Pt II' (feat. Colin Stetson) from their latest album IV, and last but not least, one that's causing (a) a stir and (b) soaring up the pop charts everywhere, Moscow-born Shura's single 'What's It Gonna Be?' from her debut album, Nothing's Real, which will be everywhere.
