Hvmmingbyrd - Gozo
Info: Inspired by a recent
trip to the island of Gozo, Hvmmingbyrd release their new single
co-produced with Aisling Jarvis on August 4th 2017. Gozo flows with
twinkling, glitchy melodies and the intricate harmonies of Byrne and
Das, resulting in a dreamy, effervescent haze. The duo will also head
on their first national tour in August.
Opening with a deep-humming bass-line and layered harmonies, Hvmmingbyrd's latest single 'Gozo' fulfils its aim of creating an escapist mood and sweeping you off to distant exotic landscapes. Musically the new single is a more withdrawn and calm affair which makes nice use of slow-moving electronic beats and effects to induce the listener, which is perhaps most importantly achieved via the duo's distinctive vocal partnership.
